Rob Meany continues his hot streak of singles with “Dreamers in Dreamland,” featuring Terramara. The new song showcases his melodic gifts, while also allowing the band to rock a little.
Meany likewise shows off his prowess around the soundboard, as he produced and recorded “Dreamers in Dreamland” at Meantone Music Studio. This time, he uses the acoustic guitar as his main melodic instrument, rather than employing his substantial keyboard skills.
The Terramara rhythm section keeps things lively with James Towns on bass, David Thomas on drum and percussionist Ken Chastain adding nuance to descriptive and relatable lyrics that hint at sentiment and regrets. Karl Koopmann provides substantial gravitas on guitars, utilizing melodic leads and expressive slide parts.
