“Revolucion,” by Andree / Doble D featuring Hedras Ramos, hits hard with biting lyrics and screaming guitar from start to finish. Rapper Andree Fuentes from Guatemala has teamed with his buddies Doble D from Argentina and Guatemalan guitar fusion phenom Hedras Ramos for a taste of their upcoming release, To the Happy Few.
The results are impressive, as Andree’s rap in the second verse compliments Doble D’s style in the first. The two meld seamlessly in the third verse, propelled by the burning guitar presence of Hedras Ramos. A jazz-fusion star in his own right, Ramos propels “Revolucion” with an urgency befitting the Spanish word lyrics. His middle solo adds kindling to the fire.
Andree / Doble D featuring Hedras Ramos’s “Revolucion,” or revolution in English, is about being anti-government oppression and cultural imperialism. Sure it’s heady stuff, even if you don’t speak Spanish, but the lyrics match the musical intensity. Look for the single new single from Andree / Doble D via free download the week of May 10.
