After making a splash in 2024, America’s hottest new organ trio are poised to do it again in 2026. Parlor Greens is the name of the band — in case you don’t know already — and their first single of the year is up and running. See the video above and check it out.

No one in this group are exactly noobies: drummer Tim Carman comes from the blues evangelists band GA-20, Hammond B3 wunderkind Adam Scone played for the retro-funk trio The Sugarman 3 (while heading up his own unit, Scone Cash Players) and guitarist Jimmy James made big impacts within the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio with his gritty, soul-stirring playing.

But whereas the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio had been more about a Jimmy Smith revival, Parlor Greens leans harder into a Muscle Shoals/Memphis-styled soul revival. Think Booker T & the MG’s. The group brandishes a cooperative feel, with no dominant player; they’re more about feeding off of each other and conjuring up a good ‘n’ greasy retro groove over just showing off.

Following up on 2024’s well-received debut In Green We Dream, Emeralds is sure to keep the flame lit for 60s instrumental soul. “Eat Your Greens,” the advance single, gets the ball rolling with a Motown-inspired backbeats, a driving rhythm guitar and a mighty Hammond B3.

Emeralds is coming out on March 27 via Colemine Records.
