Don’t get Kiss’ Gene Simmons started on Wikipedia, the crowd-sourced online reference site. Wait, on second thought: Do. Do get him started. The results are hilarious.
“Some college kid, living his mother’s basement, writes that stuff,” Simmons fires back in this clip.
That was in response to moderator Jon Lovitz, of SNL fame, who asked whether the Kiss bassist — born in Israel in 1949 as Chaim Witz — fashioned his stage name after after the now-deceased Mississippi-based rockabilly singer Jumpin’ Gene Simmons.
After all, that’s what it says under the heading Early Life on his entry.
“Oh, that’s very dependable, Wikipedia,” Simmons says, without trying to hide his contempt. “That’s where I go to get all of my facts and figures. You should see what they say about you: I know you don’t like farm animals. So, the farm animals are not true.”
Lovitz quips back: “It’s true, but I edited it out.”

Yeah, Simmons’s reason and understanding of things is also very dependable…
He should probably understand by now, that no one really likes, respects or stands him. He’s a cheap screen show, an entertaining monkey. People like to have something to laugh about and to make them feel better about themselves because at least they’re not THAT idiotic clown.
Take away the antics, the makeup, the contemptible commercial flamboyance, the disgracefully vulgar reality show, the sell out rockstar shit, the bimbos to fill his insecure sexual ego, that moronic bloated face that you’re just hoping is going to say just another piece of bullshit to make you chuckle before you go take a dump and go to bed. What do you got? A clumsy, UGLY, vulgar, completely mediocre bass player. Expendable and forgettable.
Plus he’s dumb… God he’s a dumb adult human being… he’s just mentally limited… cerebrally challenged… he’s only able to reach so far. Any conversation with this person that ambitions more than the basic is marked for a short life.
And that’s his band. People acknowledge its influence and existence and popularity, and that’s it. Nobody really respects or likes that ridiculous, humiliating, gag-inducing shit that poses as “art” “created” by career “musicians”. No one who’s not completely and obliviously musically challenged or who’s not dumbed down by life or who had parents and friends who were not complete cultural vegetables or grunts.
Move on, Ace.
