England’s dynamic duo Young Gun Silver Fox is back with their third advance single from the upcoming Ticket to Shangri-La album and they put together a delightfully daffy video (above) to accompany the fresh new tune.
“Rolling Back” follows “West Side Jet” and “Winners” as another fine example of the neo-yacht rock that YGSF has absolutely mastered
Like everything else they do, “Rolling Back” is a sonic step into the Wayback Machine, one that’s always set to 1979 or thereabouts. Lead singer Andy Platts cooked up another bright, hook-laden melody and multi-instrumentalist and producing whiz Shawn Lee came up with the deep, four-on-the-floor groove from a tight bass-drums combination and overall he fully realized all the potential in Platts’ song.
“Rolling Back” is a strong indicator that Young Gun Silver Fox’s fourth long player will be yet another dandy from Platts and Lee. Ticket to Shangri-La is going out on October 21, 2022, courtesy of Mixto Records.
