U.K.-based Xander and the Peace Pirates display just a hint of their blues power and prowess with “Soul Sailing.” The new single, available via www.xanderandthepeacepirates.com combines the powerfully soulful vocals of Keith Xander with the expressive and road weary yet expressive slide guitar playing of brother Stuart Xander.
The results are modern blues with a touch of traditional Americanized soul. Keith Xander even takes a few brief bars to plan a distinctive and spry solo on his Gibson guitar. Xander’s guitar work is all the more impressive given that he plays with a prosthetic hand.
“Soul Sailing” is a perfect teaser for a full scale album and tour in 2016.
