After a 16-year sabbatical, original guitarist and singer Alex Lowe has revived Hurricane No. 1, whose new album Find What You Love and Let It Kill You is slated to be issued November 20, 2015 via Tapete Records. Also included in the resurrected version of the band is guitarist Carlo Mariani, bassist Lucas Mariani and drummer Chris Campbell.

Plugging in as a natural extension of what made Hurricane No. 1 winners in the first place, Find What You Love and Let It Kill You will not only please longtime fans, but those just getting on board will be impressed enough to invest in the band’s previous two albums, “Hurricane No. 1” and “Only The Strongest Will Survive” that have been hailed Britpop treasures.

Assembled of potent rhythms, weighty hooks and a confident and convincing stance, “Where To Begin,” “Best is Yet to Come,” and “Crash” quiver and shiver with a rocking immediacy, while “Feel Me Again” is a bare-boned ballad, bustling with emotionally-charged particles. A bopping groove, interlaced with a Kinks-like whimsy, steers the scheme on the sweet and frisky “Think of the Sunshine,” which features cool backward guitar fixings from Andy Bell, who played in the initial line-up of Hurricane No. 1.

Plastered with powerful and melodic vocals and tight and energetic performances, Hurricane No. 1’s Find What You Love and Let It Kill You posts as a perfect melding of pop and hard rock elements. An earthy production, charted of direct and gripping arrangements, keep it real through and through. The return of Hurricane No. 1 is most welcome, and Find What You Love and Let It Kill You definitely validates the band’s value.
