Here’s a free mp3 download of Cassandra Wilson’s “Silver Moon,” a tune featuring saxophonist Ravi Coltrane from the forthcoming Blue Note recording Silver Pony.

A hybrid live/studio album set for release on Nov. 9, Silver Pony features live songs from a European tour and studio work done at New Orleans’ Piety Street Studios.

Wilson also collaborates on the tune “Watch The Sunrise” with John Legend, who provides vocals and piano. Other songs include Oscar Hammerstein’s “Lover Come Back To Me,” the traditional “St. James Infirmary,” “Blackbird” by the Beatles and three new band-composed songs.

Wilson’s group is rounded out by Marvin Sewell on electric guitar, Jonathan Batiste on piano, Reginald Veal on electric bass, Herlin Riley on drums, and Lekan Babalola on percussion. John Fischbach, owner of Piety Street, co-produced with Wilson.
