“Afraid of Love” isn’t just one of the best deep cuts found on Toto IV; it’s one of Toto’s catchiest, most accessible album tracks ever.

Toto’s “It’s a Feeling” could just as easily be talking about a changing relationship or Steve Porcaro’s place in the band he cofounded.

Co-written by Toto’s Steve Lukather and Bobby Kimball, ‘Good For You’ was one of the strongest songs not to be issued as a single from ‘Toto IV.’

Up until ‘Toto IV,’ the vast majority of Toto ballads had been written by David Paich. Steve Lukather’s “I Won’t Hold You Back” changed the paradigm.

“Turn Back” stands the test of time well on its own, and elevates Toto’s third album – even though it was miscast.

Of David Paich’s four songs on Toto’s ‘Turn Back,’ the Steve Lukather-sung “I Think I Could Stand You Forever” is the most varied. But does it work?
