One Track Mind: Jon Kanis, “Make A Wish” from Fundamentalism Is The Only Way (2014)

Slated to appear on Jon Kanis’ upcoming album Fundamentalism Is The Only Way, “Make A Wish” which consolidates poetic flash with musical aesthetics to mood-altering effects.

Centered on the stark and strummy sound of an acoustic guitar, the song is punctured with puffy and polished background harmonies, providing a nice contrast and balance of bare-bones folk rock and shrewdly-constructed pop.
