Stevie Nicks’ plate, already filled with Fleetwood Mac, solo projects and an acting job on American Horror Story, would be piled still higher if she had her way. Nicks says she’d love to play some concerts with Dave Grohl.
Nicks appeared in the 2013 Sound City documentary, and has occasionally sat in with Grohl as part of his Sound City Players supergroup. Performances included some late-night television stops and a few dates in conjunction with the film.
“I’m hoping that, at some point, that Dave Grohl and his grunge army, I’m hoping that maybe we can go and do a small tour — because we had so much fun when we went out and did all of the film festivals,” Nicks tells CBS’ Chris Booker. “We did five shows, and it was just fantastic. It was one of the best times of my life.”
The always-working Nicks also confirms not one, but two different tours planned for the coming year. One, presumably, would involve Fleetwood Mac, which is getting together with Christine McVie again after a 15-year haitus. Apart from that five-person reunion jaunt, another Nicks tour would perhaps involve some solo shows.
How does Nicks keep it up, more than four decades into her career?
“If I was doing something else that I didn’t love, I think I would be a lot older,” Nick says. “If you find that passion, I can pretty much guarantee you that you can be 65, and still have that passion. You’ll still have a reason to dance out of bed and down the hall every morning — and I do, every morning. Thank God there’s nobody seeing this, except my dog.”
