Christmas may have just passed, but the spirit and visuals linger on in stores as sales on seasonal items are hot and heavy. So come on people and start your Christmas shopping early this year because the day will be here before you know it!
And as far as Christmas songs go, well, there are some tunes of such ilk that can be enjoyed anytime of the year, and that includes “Under the Mistletoe” (Twist Records) by the Eddies.
Performed at a nice, neat and steady midtempo clip, “Under the Mistletoe” also carries a concrete hook, lending it to be a smooth and snappy slice of pop perfection. The vocals are strong, fluid and friendly, while the rattling guitars and pumping drumming lock everything together with confidence and ease.
The Eddies are currently working on a new album, which like their prior ventures will no doubt be chockfull of the trio’s signature Mod oriented grooves, but until the disc arrives, park yourself “Under the Mistletoe” with the guys and give them a great big kiss for recording yet another fantastic song!
