Catch a Syberen van Munster show streamed live!

Last week we got a little enthusiastic about the fully-formed, incisive and sophisticated debut album by the Dutch guitarist and composer Syberen van Munster. Plunge For Distance breathes new life into the old notion of combining the elegance of classical music with the extemporaneous spirit of jazz, with a dash Old World charm sprinkled throughout (mainly thanks to Vitor Gonçalves’ accordion).

Van Munster & Co. are marking the occasion of the March 2 release of Plunge For Distance with a CD release party at New York’s Cornelia Street CafĂ© the following evening, Tuesday March 3 at 8:30pm ET. It should be worthwhile to attend and see how van Munster’s unique concept of jazz translates on the stage.

Wait, you say, you aren’t in the NYC area? No problem, they’ve got that covered. LIVAMP, a live concert video platform will be streaming the performance as it happens, absolutely free. Bang it here at the appointed time and enjoy the sights and sounds of an up and coming act in the cozy comfort of your home.

Missed the live stream? Catch the replay on the “Recent Highlights” tab when it becomes available.
