It’s a hit! It’s a hit! Culled as the first single from Roger Gomez’s new album Behind Cloud Nine is “Mondays Guide,” which indeed sizzles with a radio-friendly quality.
Dominated by a dense and driving beat, threaded with a hip-hugging hook, the song packs a wallop from beginning to end. Also included in the mix is a ferocious and flashy guitar solo that would no doubt make Slash turn green with envy. Roger’s vocals, which hang somewhere between poppy and punky, are thoroughly appealing as well.
Bringing together rock, metal, and pop, “Mondays Guide” is as powerful as it is melodic, and to these ears that’s always a plus. Roger certainly has what is required to be heard and appreciated, so here’s hoping he’ll be a major presence on airwaves everywhere. Listen and love!
