Former Who drummer Kenney Jones will reunite with his old bandmates for a cause that’s become personal — raising awareness about prostate cancer.

Jones, who was with the Who from 1979-88 after a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career with the Faces, was diagnosed last summer following a routine check. This open air rock concert will be held June 14 at Ewhurt’s Hurtwood Park Polo Club, with funds going to Prostate Cancer UK.

“Really pleased to hear my friends and former band mates Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joining me on stage, where we will all perform together,” Jones says. “The line up is looking amazing.”

Also on the June bill are Genesis’ Mike Rutherford and the Moody Blues’ John Lodge. Kenney Jones was with the Who for two studio albums, Face Dances and It’s Hard, and also took part in the group’s performance at Live Aid.
