Check out “Derision,” a diaphanous preview track from Sanguine Hum’s forthcoming follow up to 2013’s well-received Weight of the World.

This version of “Derision” is part of a 2012 concert performance, recorded at the Majestic Theater in Gettysburg as part of Rosfest, and previously released in audio form via Bandcamp. Sanguine Hum is now putting together a limited-edition DVD/CD set from that night. Sales will fund their next album, to be called Now We Have Light.

The Rosfest show marked just the second time that Matt Baber, Brad Waissman and Joff Winks were joined by then-new drummer Andrew Booker, completing the current Sanguine Hum lineup. Now We Have Light, an epic concept that will be told over a double-album length, has been in the works since then — though Weight of the World was released in the interim.

Now We have Light is expected to be completed by year’s end. Release details on the Live in America film and music combo are also forthcoming.
