Hawaii resident Mick Fleetwood has painted a more complete picture of how Christine McVie will be reintegrated back into Fleetwood Mac during an interview with the local Maui News.

McVie was a member of the group from 1970 through 1998, contributing background vocals to Kiln House and then singing and composing for each of their albums through The Dance in 1997. She missed 2003’s Say You Will, and number of subsequent touring dates, during a retirement that apparently ended after she reconnected with Fleetwood at a local show with his blues band at Maui’s Castle Theater.

She then joined Fleetwood Mac on stage last September in London at the O2 Arena, appearing with them for the first time in 15 years. By January of this year, McVie was officially back in the fold.

Fleetwood, talking to Jon Woodhouse, confirms that McVie has brought along some original music, and that recording sessions should begin in March 2014. Further, Fleetwood said that a new Fleetwood Mac tour featuring all five of its classic-era members will commence in the fall.
