Adam Lambert offered a first-ever live rendition of his recent collaboration with Nile Rodgers and Avicii last night, as a short American tour continues.

Lambert co-wrote “Lay Me Down” as part of a huge year that saw him appear again with Queen, this time making his U.S. debut, and begin a guest turn on TV’s Glee. He performs in the above clip at Biloxi, Mississippi. The Idol finalist travels next to Thackerville, Oklahoma, for a show tonight.

“I’ve had a great year,” Lambert told Ryan Seacrest recently. “I’m really, really happy, and thankful. And we’re just getting started again. There’s so much happening.”

2014 is set to bring more Glee appearances as Elliott Gilbert, nicknamed “Starchild.” Next year’s debut episode, dubbed “Frenemies,” will air on Feburary 15.

There has also been talk of more appearances with Queen, with whom Lambert has worked off and on since the 2009 American Idol finale. Brian May, who leads the classic-rock outfit with Roger Taylor, recently confirmed talks to perform again.
