‘I had a great time’: Adam Lambert says Queen show topped his amazing year

The highlights were many for Adam Lambert in 2013, from his on-going guest appearances on Glee to a hit single with Niles Rodgers and Avicii. Asked to pick a favorite moment, however, Lambert goes back to his American stage debut in Las Vegas last September with Queen.

“Getting back together with Queen was pretty amazing, at the iHeart Radio Festival,” Lambert tells Yahoo. “I had a great time. It went over well, and we had a great set. You know, sometimes you get off stage and you’re like: ‘Ugh, that was a really bad show.’ But that felt like a really good show. It felt like we were right in the pocket.”

Lambert has been appearing with Roger Taylor and Brian May since the finale for American Idol, back in 2009, but until this year had never made a stateside concert stop with the remaining members of Queen. While fans wait for word of future performances together, Lambert has already confirmed work on a new album of his own — amongst other exciting developments.

Lambert says he’s continuing collaborations with Rodgers and Avicii, and more dates on Glee are planned — including a duet with Lea Michele when the program return to Fox this February. So far, there is no firm due date for Lambert’s studio follow up to 2012’s Trespassing — though Lambert adds that if it doesn’t arrive in 2014, then things have gone “seriously wrong!”
