Rolling Stones take 02 stage in London again — and this time, yes, they get some ‘Satisfaction’

The Rolling Stones opened tonight’s second 50th anniversary concert in London with “Get off My Cloud,” and closed — yes, finally — with “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” In between, Florence Welch joined for “Gimme Shelter,” and Eric Clapton sat in on the Muddy Waters classic “Champagne and Reefer.”

The complete 02 Arena set list for this November 29, 2012, show can be found below. Fan-made videos from Clapton’s performance and the encore of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” are attached, as well.

Two nights ago, the Rolling Stones were forced to cut their initial anniversary set short — and, thus, couldn’t play the iconic “Satisfaction” — when they ran over curfew. London has a strict music policy that concerts end at 11 p.m. nightly. A fine was reportedly levied — perhaps to the tune of $320,000, according to British reports.

The Rolling Stones are expected, however, to gross some $25 million during what will be just five 2012 shows. A trio of American concerts are to follow. Stones frontman Mick Jagger joked about the whole thing with the O2 crowd: “We’re more relaxed tonight. We’ll get to play the whole thing. We had to pay £100,000 because we went on too long. That’s like … 10 seats!”

Two former members of the Rolling Stones again joined in this concert celebration, with co-founding bassist Bill Wyman playing on “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)” and “Honky Tonk Women.” Mick Taylor was part of tonight’s performance of “Midnight Rambler.” A day earlier during the initial London concert, Jeff Beck was among the special guests, as well.

Jagger, in fact, was in a quippy mood all night. At the conclusion of “I Wanna Be Your Man” — which before this pair of 02 shows hadn’t been performed by the Stones since 1964 — he joked: “Blimey, that’s an old song. Back then, the price of a pint of milk was three pence, the price of a loaf of bread was sixpence and the price of a concert ticket was — I’d better not go there.”

The Rolling Stones will hit the Barclay Center in New York on December 8, 2012 and continue to Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center on December 13 and 15, 2012. The December 15 concert will be televised via pay-per-view, through WWE. “One More Shot” airs at 9 p.m. ET.

Music fans will remember that Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney were earlier forced to cut short a memorable on-stage collaboration recently when they too ran up against London’s music curfew.
