The Rolling Stones played a surprise warm-up show at Paris’ Champs-Elysées on Thursday night, announcing the show earlier today — then playing for a little more than an hour. See the complete setlist here!

Of course, a set list for the tour had already been leaked, but there were some notable surprises — including a cover of Muddy Waters’ classic “Champagne and Reefer,” and the deep cut “When the Whip Comes Down” from 1978’s Some Girls. They also played familiar hits like “Start Me Up” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” along with their newest song “Doom and Gloom.”

Thursday was the first concert appearance by the Rolling Stones since 2007, when the group was touring in support of 2005’s A Bigger Bang. They opened with a cover of the Nat “King” Cole chestnut “Route 66,” and closed a two-song encore with “Brown Sugar.”

The group is prepping for a pair of massive 50th anniversary concerts, to be held in London and Newark, New Jersey.

The Rolling Stones released 350 tickets for the show, at $20 a pop. Recording devices like cell phones were strictly forbidden, of course, so the only video content is from beforehand. Stay tuned …
