Ann and Nancy Wilson, in an exclusive world premiere video for Something Else! Reviews, talk about Heart’s new single — the title track from their just-released album Fanatic.

The release of Fanatic continues a busy year for the Wilson sisters, who in a matter of months have overseen a career-spanning retrospective, released a new autobiography called Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul, and Rock and Roll, been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and earned a nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Fanatic opened on the Billboard charts this week at No. 24, some 36 years after Heart first charted with Dreamboat Annie, which ultimately went to the No. 7 spot in 1976. The new Ben Mink-produced album, Heart’s 14th studio effort, follows 2010’s Red Velvet Car, which became the group’s initial Top 10 effort since 1990.

[SOMETHING ELSE! REWIND: At once both breathtakingly loud and deeply confessional, ‘Fanatic’ proves to be one of Heart’s most complex, and ultimately satisfying, albums.]

The title track for Fanatic begins as a story about a personal kind of passion, with someone in a kind of romantic freefall, but then builds into a global theme on love.

“‘Fanatic,'” Ann Wilson says in the exclusive video above, “is someone talking about love, and they’re just up on a pulpit. And they’re just going: ‘I don’t care what you say. Love is it. Love is the best thing that the human can ever do. It’s the highest state of being. I won’t hear any other thoughts.'”

As her sister continues telling the story, obviously inspired by a new relationship, Nancy Wilson responds with a memorable quip.
