Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls fame has teamed up with NoiseTrade to offer a sampler of tracks from her 12 years as a solo artist — for free.

Included are two songs from each of her individual projects over that span, two songs from her new album Lung of Love and two exclusive live tracks.

Ray, who recorded these albums in between Indigo Girls’ records and gigs, recorded with punk icons the Butchies, along with The Rockateens and Joan Jett, on her first solo album Stag. The follow up, Prom, saw collaborations with Jody Bleyle, Kate Schellenbach, Donna Dresch, and 1945 into the fold. Didn’t It Feel Kinder sound Ray teaming up with producer Greg Griffith (Vitapup, Le Tigre, The Butchies).

Together with Emily Saliers, the Indigo Girls releasing nine major-label albums between 1988 and 2007, before returning to self-produced projects with their own IG Recordings company. Their debut, the platinum-selling Indigo Girls, rose to No. 22 on the album charts. The Grammy-award winning project included “Closer To Fine,” a collaboration with Hothouse Flowers that went to No. 52 on the pop charts and No. 26 on the modern rock charts. The Indigo Girl’s second album, Nomads Indians Saints, went gold on the strength of its No. 12 modern rock hit “Hammer and a Nail.”

In 1990, Ray founded Daemon Records, then signed Ellen James Society, Kristen Hall, Rose Polenzani, Athens Boys Choir and James Hall among others. Saliers is co-owner of Watershed Restaurant in Decatur, Georgia, along with two friends.
